"Calamar": Spanish for squid. The distinctive label plays with the idea of squid ink and freefalling liquid.
Originating from 40 year old vines, the grapes from this Verdejo are picked at night, ferment for 22 days at 14 degrees Celsius and then stay on the fine lees for 4 months . This is a wine that exhibits notes of herbs and fruits with excellent acidity and a long finish. Year after year, Calamar has won international awards. The current vintage (2016) was awarded a Gold Medal at Berliner Wein and a Silver Medal from the IWC.
